Our New Enviro Hut

                                                                              Enviro Hut

                                 A couple weeks ago the Enviro Group made a Enviro Hut. We made it out of used pellets that no one needs anymore, palm fronds, flax, tree branches that have been cut down, nails and old fence posts. We also made a tunnel through the bushes and a picnic table made out of pellets and wood stumps. With the extra stumps we made stepping stones.

The Enviro Crew would like to thank the parents for volunteering to help as well as Kauri for her knowledge and expertise on the planning day. The parents were amazing!

the awesome, the amazing QUIET AREA

The Quiet area is being made by the awesome Wainui Beach School.

Anyone will be allowed in the Quiet area there will be heaps of stuff to do like origami, drawing, art, painting, games and loads more! we will be working on it for a couple of weeks in Term 2.

Kāore te kumara e kōrero mō tōna ake reka  

The kumara does not say how sweet he is.

The Enviro Crew would like to also show we are humble (like the kumara) by asking the community for advice. We have what we think is an amazing kumara plant in our school vegetable garden. However...Can anyone provide any advice on this plant that we are growing?

eg. When can we cultivate it?

Are we growing it correctly?

What can we expect to happen next?
